Sepida Online School is a non-profit educational initiative founded in response to the ongoing ban on girls’ education in Afghanistan. The name “Sepida”, meaning “dawn” in Persian, symbolizes light, hope, and new beginnings — a vision that reflects our mission to keep the light of education alive for Afghan girls and women during one of the darkest periods in the nation’s history.
Sepida was established by a group of Afghan educators, activists, and professionals who share a common belief: education is not a privilege, but a fundamental human right. With the return of restrictive policies that have erased girls from classrooms, thousands of Afghan students have been forced into silence and confinement. Sepida was born to challenge that reality — to open virtual doors where physical ones have been closed.
Through our secure and accessible online learning platforms, Sepida provides comprehensive education for girls from grades 7 to 12, following both national and modern international standards. Our programs also include literacy and life-skill courses for women who were previously denied the opportunity to learn.
